Essential Reading

Essential Reading

To pass DVSA ADI Part 1 it is necessary to have a thorough and detailed knowledge of many different subjects, for example, road procedure, road traffic law, driving test procedure, teaching methods.

The theoretical knowledge gained in the studying for DVSA ADI Part 1 is also the essential foundation for success in the Driving Ability Test, DVSA ADI Part 2, and the Instructional Ability Test, DVSA ADI Part 3.

Is it realistic to expect to pass an advanced driving test such as DVSA ADI Part 2, without a sound knowledge of driving procedure and road traffic law?

How easy would it be to teach someone to drive without a sound knowledge of driving procedure, road traffic law and understanding teaching principles?

Some exams that we might take in life are just to be allowed to move on to the next course or to show a level of ability to help a job application, but we are not going to actually use the material that we studied to achieve the exam pass.

DVSA ADI Part 1 is different.
The knowledge and expertise gained in studying for DVSA ADI Part 1 is absolutely essential to be successful in the Driving Ability Test, DVSA ADI Part 2.
It is also essential for the Instructional Ability Test, DVSA ADI Part 3.
It is perhaps even more important to have gained the knowledge and expertise, when working as a Driving Instructor once qualified.
